A one-of-a-kind project from David La Haye

Shooting a 1.5 hour feature film in a single sequence shot, now that's something. And with actors having to improvise on top of that, it's just the icing on the cake! J’espère que tu vas bien 2 was an experience in every meaning of the word. We couldn't resist getting involved in this delusional, small-budget, socio-funded project… up to the point where we became partners.

A challenge just the way we like it

The sequence was shot with a steadycam. Mathieu Charest, DOP, did an incredible job. But… how can a human being hold on perfectly for 90 minutes? Impossible. This is where we came in: we had to stabilize the whole movie while being careful to maintain some sense of realism. Working on a sequence shot that long was a unique challenge for us.

For the coloring and VFX aspects, we got the same "problem". We worked so that external and internal atmospheres were well calibrated, while taking care not to leave signs of the technical crew in the reflections.

In short, it was a great adventure that we intend to relive, since the sequel is under way and we'll once again be part of it. Thank you, David LaHaye, for your boldness and perseverance.
